Coming soon to Boise, Idaho...
WYRK: A strength training space for people who’ve felt like the gym wasn’t built for them
Because it wasn’t. So we're building something better.
Psst... We promise no-spam — just behind-the-scenes updates, Boise-local stories, early access + freebies like workouts & recipes, and the inspiration behind the strongest damn gym Boise's ever seen
You shouldn't have to brace yourself just to walk into a gym.
Come as you are. Train like yourself. We’re building a space for LGBTQ+ folks, women, BIPOC, first-timers, and allies— where you can move, lift, and exist without fear of stares, comments, unsolicited advice, or the pressure to be anyone but you. This isn’t another gym that claims "everyone’s welcome" while protecting the comfort of the few.WYRK is for the ones who’ve been othered—queer folks, misfits, female veterans, allies—anyone tired of performance over presence.
What makes WYRK different?
You'll never have to scan the room for safety. Private, gender-neutral spaces let you move with freedom — not fear.
You'll never have to wonder what's acceptable. Our Code of Conduct is more than a poster — it's a promise we live by.
You'll never be coached like a project. Our staff are trained to honor your story, your pace, and your definition of strength.
You'll never be interrupted mid-rep. No unsolicited advice. No creepy comments. No performance pressure. Zilch.
You'll never have to do this alone. From identify-affirming events to small-group workshops, we're building more than a gym. We're building community.
Why I'm Building WYRK
I'm Abbi — a queer, Native American, female commissioned officer with over a decade serving in the U.S. Army.
I’ve spent most of my life navigating systems that weren’t built for people like me.WYRK is the gym I always needed but could never find:
A place where your presence matters more than your performance.
Where you don’t have to shrink yourself to feel safe.
Where strength and softness aren’t opposites — they’re both welcome.

This isn’t just a gym. It’s a reclamation. And if you’ve ever felt like traditional fitness spaces weren’t made for you…You’re exactly who I built this for.
Built With Love (and a Little Help)

WYRK is my vision — but I haven’t built it alone.Haley has been the quiet cheerleader, the strategy brain, and the late-night “you’ve got this” voice behind the scenes. She’s helped me bring this dream to life with clarity, heart, and belief.I’m endlessly grateful — and I hope WYRK offers that same kind of support to everyone who walks through its doors.Everyone needs one person who sees the vision before the world does. She's mine.xoxo -A
